US actor Vincent Pastore, best known for playing Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero in the acclaimed television series The Sopranos, has died at the age of 80.

Pastore was found at his home in the Bronx, New York City, and authorities have said there was no indication of criminal activity, according to reports from CBS News.

The actor became widely recognized for his role as Tony Soprano’s close friend in The Sopranos. His character later became one of the show’s most significant storylines after being revealed as an FBI informant.
