A major investigation by BBC Panorama has placed Married at First Sight UK and broadcaster Channel 4 under intense scrutiny following allegations of sexual misconduct connected to the reality TV show.

The controversy intensified during Channel 4’s annual report event in central London, where journalists questioned executives over the broadcaster’s handling of the allegations after Panorama’s findings became public.

Over the previous five weeks, Panorama journalists had reportedly been in contact with Channel 4 regarding claims of sexual misconduct involving individuals linked to Married at First Sight UK. According to the report, the broadcaster’s responses to the BBC were viewed as dismissive and overly defensive.

During the press conference, Channel 4 chief executive Priya Dogra faced repeated questions from reporters seeking answers about the allegations and the broadcaster’s response.
