A collection of designer handbags and luxury fashion items has sold for more than £12,000 at auction after a woman cleared out her wardrobe.
The 66-item collection belonged to a woman from Beverley, East Yorkshire, who reportedly never used most of the items.
The collection included designer handbags, scarves, coats, and sunglasses from luxury brands including Chanel and Gucci.
The highest-selling item was a limited-edition Louis Vuitton City Steamer MM Night Lights tote, which sold for £1,200.
Other popular items included a Dolce & Gabbana Sicily Clock medium bag, which sold for £850, and a Louis Vuitton Estrela tote bag, which fetched £800.
A Chanel 19 medium flap bag was described by auctioneers as the “star of the show”, but it failed to sell. The bag had been expected to fetch between £3,500 and £5,000.
Potential buyers will now have the opportunity to make an offer for the Chanel handbag.
