Charli XCX delivered an electrifying headline performance at Reading Festival, combining songs from across her career while introducing audiences to the latest chapter of her musical evolution.

The performance marked the British singer’s first UK festival appearance since the release of her latest studio album, Music, Fashion, Film. The record represents a shift from the electronic-pop sound of her hugely influential Brat era, introducing a stronger rock influence.

Her Friday evening set brought the two musical styles together, mixing tracks from the new album with Brat hits and fan favourites from earlier stages of her career.

Charli also expanded the scale of her live production compared with her previous Brat tour. The Reading Festival performance featured more elaborate staging, multiple costume changes, dramatic pyrotechnics and intense strobe lighting.

A group of dancers and a live band joined the singer on stage, adding to the scale and energy of the headline show.
