The fifth season of the faith-based television series “The Chosen,” titled “The Chosen: Last Supper,” has adopted a unique release strategy by premiering in theaters before becoming available on streaming platforms. Directed by Dallas Jenkins and starring Jonathan Roumie as Jesus Christ, the eight-episode season is divided into three parts: Episodes 1-2 debuted in theaters on March 28, Episodes 3-5 opened on April 4, and Episodes 6-8 are scheduled for release on April 11. All parts will remain in theaters through April 20, aligning with the Easter weekend. Following this theatrical window, the season will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video starting in June 2025, accessible to subscribers. After a 90-day exclusivity period, it will also be available for free on “The Chosen’s” official website and app, likely by September or October 2025.
