The event emphasized local designers, with fewer international luxury brands participating, allowing talents like Jacques Wei and Markgong to shine. Emerging brands demonstrated a blend of creativity and commercial appeal, responding to China’s competitive direct-to-consumer fashion market. Additionally, traditional Chinese techniques were celebrated, integrating heritage into contemporary designs. SHFW also focused on supporting new and independent designers, preparing them for both domestic and international markets.
