Severe flooding in Russia’s Dagestan region has killed six people and displaced thousands after days of heavy rainfall. The disaster has affected multiple communities, leaving homes submerged and infrastructure damaged.

Earlier in the crisis, heavy rain also caused power outages affecting over 300,000 people. Therefore, authorities had to restore essential services while managing rescue operations.
