Former President Donald Trump visited flood-ravaged Kerr County on Friday to assess the aftermath of catastrophic flash floods that claimed the lives of at least 120 people, including dozens of children.

During a roundtable discussion held after surveying the devastation in Texas’ Hill Country, Trump defended the federal and state disaster response, calling it swift and effective. He praised Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, stating, “They both did an incredible job responding to an unimaginable tragedy.”

The former president’s visit comes amid growing public scrutiny over emergency preparedness and resource coordination, as rescue operations continue in flood-stricken communities. Trump also met with survivors, first responders, and local officials, assuring them that rebuilding efforts will receive full support from Washington.

The flash flooding, triggered by record rainfall last week, has displaced thousands and caused massive infrastructure damage, leaving many rural areas without access to clean water or electricity.
