White House Blasts ‘South Park’ Over Satirical Depiction of Donald Trump

The White House has strongly criticized the long-running animated series South Park after its latest episode featured a highly satirical portrayal of former President Donald Trump, sparking a media stir.

In the 27th season premiere aired Wednesday night, South Park took aim at Trump by depicting him in a surreal storyline where he argues with Canada’s Prime Minister, shares a romantic moment with Satan, and faces crude jokes, including ones about his anatomy. The episode also referenced the controversial “Epstein list,” suggesting Trump was among its members—a claim made by Satan in the episode, which the Trump character dismisses.

Responding to the backlash, White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers condemned the show, calling it a “fourth-rate” production that has “been irrelevant for over 20 years” and accused it of relying on “uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”

Known for its unapologetic satire, South Park has long pushed the envelope in political commentary, but this latest episode appears to have struck a particularly sensitive chord in Washington.
