Drake has amended his defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group, accusing the record label of allowing Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show performance of “Not Like Us” to contribute to the spread of false pedophile accusations against him. In the updated complaint filed late Wednesday, Drake claims that Lamar’s hit song, which gained massive exposure during the Super Bowl and at the Grammy Awards, introduced millions of new listeners to the track, resulting in increased threats and harm to the rapper’s reputation and his family’s safety.
The Canadian rapper argues that the performances have further fueled baseless claims about his character, adding to the distress and challenges he faces as a result of these defamatory allegations.
