A team of scientists from across Australia has embarked on the Bush Blitz expedition, aiming to document the unique biodiversity of the Northern Territory. This initiative, running until April 11, 2025, has already led to the discovery of several species potentially new to science, including a fish species in the Katherine region, a previously unrecorded wasp, and a spider species.
