A man waving a Palestinian flag climbed the Big Ben tower at London’s Palace of Westminster early on Saturday, reportedly shouting “Free Palestine”, the local media reported.

Photos show the barefoot man standing on a ledge several metre up Elizabeth Tower, which houses Big Ben.

The Metropolitan Police said they were alerted about the incident at the Elizabeth Tower at 07:24 GMT.
