The Trump administration has unveiled a limited edition US passport design featuring an image of President Donald Trump, created to mark America’s upcoming 250th birthday.
In a social media post on Friday, Trump shared images of the redesigned passport pages, which include a photograph of him seated behind the Resolute Desk with the Declaration of Independence in the background, along with his signature.
The special edition passports will be made available from 6 July, according to the US State Department, and will only be released in limited quantities while supplies last.
The commemorative design is part of a broader series of initiatives tied to the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations, with the administration highlighting efforts to mark key American institutions and milestones.
Trump described the new document on Truth Social as the “U.S.A.’s New Passport,” adding the phrase “welcome but be good.” However, that wording does not appear in the official images shared by the White House.
The White House also reshared the design on its official X account, referring to it as a “patriot passport.”
The move is the latest in a series of symbolic changes linked to federal branding and commemorative materials during Trump’s presidency, including the incorporation of his name or likeness into various public-facing government elements.
Access to the redesigned passport remains restricted to US citizens, and officials have confirmed that availability will be limited, adding to its commemorative and collectible nature.
