The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan has reported a significant rise in the number of foreign learners studying Japanese in the country. A new government survey shows that almost 300,000 people from other countries were learning the Japanese language within Japan as of late 2024, marking a record high.
