George Foreman, the legendary heavyweight boxing champion and Olympic gold medalist, has died at the age of 76, his family confirmed.

Nicknamed “Big George,” Foreman had an extraordinary career, winning an Olympic gold medal in 1968 and becoming a two-time world heavyweight champion. He famously lost his first title to Muhammad Ali in the 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle,” one of the most memorable fights in boxing history.

Foreman retired from boxing in 1977 but made a stunning comeback in 1987. In 1994, at the age of 45, he became the oldest heavyweight champion in history after defeating Michael Moorer. He retired for good in 1997, finishing his career with 76 wins, including 68 knockouts.

After boxing, Foreman became a successful businessman, making millions from the George Foreman Grill. He also served as a minister and was dedicated to his faith and family.

His family shared the news on Instagram, saying:

“Our hearts are broken. He lived a life marked by faith, humility, and purpose.”

Foreman is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren. His legacy as a boxing champion and humanitarian will be remembered forever.
